We see an awful lot of SUV’s on the road, but what we are seeing at the moment is an emergence of people choosing hatchbacks or sedans rather than an SUV. The reason for that is because people are trying to get around into the city without having to use a giant SUV to do it. 

 

Not only that, but SUV’s are gas guzzlers and with the price of petrol rising, it does make good sense to switch over to a smaller car. There is a shift among car buyers from the SUV’s to the sport utility cars, but here are some great reasons to take a look at a smaller vehicle if you are looking at buying your next one.

 

 

1. The lower prices. A small Mercedes car is going to cost you a lot less than a large Mercedes van. Small cars are among the most affordable out there, and Mercedes is a trusted brand and their cars often come at a premium. You’ll find that the smaller options are better for your wallet than the larger ones. Whether you want to buy new or you want to buy a used one, you’ll find that they are an inexpensive option.
2. They are so much easier to park. Going into car parks can be difficult if you’ve got an SUV because you’ll find that everybody else has got an SUV and then you’re parking mirror to mirror, door to door along the side whenever you are going shopping. Compact cars are some of the most fuel efficient gas powered vehicles out there, and given the cost that you’ll find at the petrol pump right now, having a smaller car can be better for your wallet and for the economy. Knowing that the prices aren’t seemingly going down anytime soon, you’re going to save yourself a lot of money over time with a smaller vehicle.
4. The technology is just as good. People often choose an SUV because the tech is so advanced, but it’s also the case for a smaller vehicle. Small cars are available with the same modern features to improve comfort, safety and entertainment as a big SUV. You’ll be delighted by the fact that most broadcasts still come with built-in Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and they also have rear view cameras and driver assists such as forward collision alert too.
5. They are super fun to drive. They may have smaller engines, but small cars give you the chance to zip around a lot faster. You can perform sharper turns and you can break much more efficiently which allows you to feel way more in control behind the wheel.
